Deal or No Deal

Yes, I watched Deal or No Deal last night. This chick gave up a $170,000 offer and ended up with $15,000. That's good money, but if I played that game my attitude would have to be I came with nothing, I'll play it all out and the worst I could do would be leave with .01 or .02 cents. And that's still more than I had when I walked in.
Those types of things drive me crazy. Is that chick kicking herself because she gave up $170,000? I don't know. I guess that's why I don't play.
This Deal or No Deal reminds me of God. I mean, he's basically asking everyone Deal or No Deal? My love or not?
I also feel like I played the game for a lot of my life. I knew what the deal was, but I kept saying "No Deal" by the way I was living.
Now, I'm a "Deal" kind of girl. I try my hardest to live in Christ. To love like Christ.
Sometimes I fail, slip. But I bounce back. I know what the Deal is and don't want to live without it.
What about you? Did you take the Deal right away? Or did you say No Deal a couple of times.

  1. I think I've done both. More times than not, I've said NO DEAL. "Oh no, Lord, I can't do that. I can't give that up." You get the gist. I'm so glad He's a merciful, forgiving God.

  2. As was the feeling again after watching DRIVE tonight, everyone in the race has someone/something to lose and 32 million to win. Deal or no deal ?

  3. I don't watch much TV. I'm not into American Idol or Deal or No Deal. TV shows are one of those things I had to let go of to lighten my schedule.

  4. I watched that show once and absolutely could NOT figure it out!! I felt so stupid! LOL

But I love the analogy, Lindi. I did the same as you, said No Deal lots of times. Now I'm trying my best to be only a Deal kind of gal. :)
