As Christy said yesterdady it's the beginning of Holy week. I'm going to be out of town all week, missing the events at my church. I'm hoping with my devotional and Bible to be able to remember the importance of the week. Sometimes, if your not in church or amongst your church friends other things, thoughts and doings can take away from the meaning of Easter.
Yes, I guess this is a confession of sorts. But I do not want to not minimize the importance of the events of this week.
After all, this week marks the beginning of our lives. The reason we are Christians.
Let's celebrate Christ, the sacrifice, the blessing.

  1. I have 2 favorite holidays, Easter and Christmas-in that order. Why? I love the contemplation of Holy Week and the exultation I feel on Sunday morning. I have a struggle with the hugely overdone holiday "season" of Christmas. I love to celebrate it from Christmas Eve until New Year's only. I don't like the commercialization of it. After living in Spain for 3 yrs, I came home and experienced shell shock at the overwhelming commercialism. I hadn't realized how horribly wrong it had all gone when I was used to it.
    Ah well, that's my opinion.
    I love Easter:-)
