Hope everyone had a great week. Go to the comments section and see what the F.A.I.T.H. girls have been up to this week.

  1. I readied two contest entries. I'm changing my strategy so to speak, so next week I"ll hopefully have many words to add to my current WIP.
    How about everyone else?

  2. I submitted my short historical to a publisher and a short story to another publisher. I sent in all my contest entries and I finished chapter 4 of my WIP. I even started writing chapter 5. My goals for this week are to finish chapter 5, update my website, and put another proposal together for another historical.

  3. Until last night, I had not written anything in a couple of weeks. For a solid week, I didn't power on my laptop.

But last night I sat down at the computer and began a character sketch of a supporting character in my WIP. I have this book "Building Believable Characters" by Marc McCutcheon. I was following his Character Questionnaire.

I'm no closer to finishing my WIP than I was a couple of weeks ago. Part of me worries this is another diversion tha's serving as a delay against my finishing the WIP.

Another part of me, the one I'm trying to listen to because it's the one that listens to God, assures me this may be a part of a bigger plan, a part of a series idea I've been tossing around that still includes the story of my WIP.

Anyway, I know this is a lot to digest, when most of you have no idea what I'm talking about. I guess to make a long story short, the point is I'm back to writing ~ SOMETHING ~ and we all know that's a positive!

  4. I had a pretty good writing week. I finished another chpater on my WIP. Too bad it was part of reworking the first three. LOL! Anyway, I feel good about the way it's progressing and I'm well into the next chapter.
Looking forward to a writer's retreat next weekend with my crit group. A whole weekend of eating, sleeping, talking, writing :-) Not to mention a wonderful time of bonding.

  5. Oh, Mindy, I'm so envious! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

It sounds like you've all had a pretty good writing or submitting week. Good job!

I finished my revisions!!!! Lindi is reading it for me now for any inconsistancies or typos. Once I get her feedback, I'll go through it one last time. I want to mail if off by Friday if possible. Then on to the next book!!

Anyone else beside bloggers who would like to share their writing progress? Or if you're not a writer, then any goals for the upcoming week (work, school, church, or family related--any areas of your life)?

We want to hear from our blog readers, too!

  6. Ditto to what Missy said about our blog readers. Goals, goals met..books read...
    Anything.
We'd love to hear about your week, also.
PS---I'm thrilled to be reading Missy's book. I can't wait for it to be on the shelf.
It sounds like everyone has been busy this week!!
    Yeah!

  7. I finished and submitted my second entry into the Genesis. Then I went to a conference all weekend. It was very helpful to me business-wise:-) Additionally, I read a John C. Maxwell book during my downtime. The book is wonderful because it is meeting me right where I am in my life. I'll blog on it later this week, until then...I'll leave you guessing:-)
