Check in Sunday AND CONTEST NEXT WEEK!!!!

To celebrate Mother's day on Sunday, May 13, the F.A.I.T.H. girls are having a contest!

The contest will start Monday, May 7th and run through Saturday, May 12th.

All you have to do is check out our posts every day next week and comment every day on our topic to have your name put in the hat each day. We will draw names and announce the winner on Mother's Day!

What's in it for you, you may be wondering? Well, we're giving away a sleek leather purse that will be filled with books, foot fizzies and lots of other goodies!

Some lucky winner will feel like it's Mother's Day the rest of the week. Maybe the even the rest of the month!!!

Okay FAITH Girls and our readers... How was your writing week? Post your comment to share how you're doing.

(Uh, these comments won't count toward the contest... That starts Monday!!!! Good luck!!)

  1. Monday I submitted my ms. to a contest.

Wednesday, I wrote 10 pages on Wednesday on my "Day of Freedom", but haven't added any more to it.

I've been working on a better, more character/plot arching synopsis as there are 2 contests I'm planning to enter and their deadlines are coming up in June.

Goal for this week: Write SOMETHING in the WIP EVERY DAY and complete the necessary length synopsis.

  2. I'm still judging a published contest! I'm about to finish the 3rd book. I have one more after that. My goal is to get it done by Thursday so I can have a big writing day on Friday, my day off.

  3. I have two more contest entries to judge. I'm hoping to knock those out this week.

Not a good writing week for me. I feel like I'm in a desert. Only today am I realizing God may be sending me there for a time. I don't like it, but I have to be obedient. He is faithful though.

  4. I made some edits to chapter five, and wrote half of chapter six. I also blogged and finished a few critiques. I also squeezed in a great weekend trip to Oak Island with my daughter's Girl Scout troop.

  5. Didn't get much writing done. We had a women's retreat this weekend with my church. I was on the planning/organizing team. We had a great time.
Also, I"m working at a different location for awhile---it's pretty far from my house--so I"m on the road almost 3 times as longs as normal.
I'm out of town again next weekend and have a pretty busy week-work related-ahead. But I'll see what I can do.

Congrats to all the accomplishments of the ladies this week. You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Lindi ~ Utilize that traffic time!

Take a notepad and pen or, better and safer, a tape recorder!

I dreamed up the coolest plots on the road!

  7. Hi all,
I did a ton of writing, but not on my book. It was marketing (commercials) and of course Mom's obituary and Order of Service. Then I wrote in my journal. I'm going to have 2-3 days without my hubby while he goes to a class. I plan to focus a lot then. I have to decide if I'm doing revisions, plotting the new book, or writing that free lance article series on The Price of Grief (what does it take to bury a loved one these days type of thing.) Decisions, decisions.
