Fire Dancer, by Colleen Coble

Well, after basking in Mother's Day, I'm back to the nitty gritty of being a mom--dealing with a sick child. That's why my post is late for today. We were up a lot last night, then again this morning when I had planned to post.

I want to tell you about a great book I read last week. It's Fire Dancer by Colleen Coble. Let me first say that I've never been disappointed in a book by Colleen. She's great at writing suspense. And her settings are amazing. Either she knows a lot about a lot of things, or she does tons of research. :) I always feel so into the story, like I'm right there sensing everything she's writing about.

Fire Dancer is about Tess Masterson, whose parents died in a barn fire when she was a child. Now she's become a smoke jumper, and it seems she's being stalked by an arsonist. (Oh, and there's a romance as well, of course!)

The book is scary! And exciting. Suspenseful. Excellent! You'll have to be sure to look for it.

And I'll have to see if Colleen will come be a guest blogger sometime so we can find out how she does her research. (I don't think she's a smoke jumper!) :)

  1. Girls, I didn't know you had this blog! It's awesome! And I know most of you which made it more fun to read. LOL Thanks for the endorsement, Missy. It helps when I'm slogging through the bare bones of the next book, Anathema. Which Angie B helped brainstorm! LOL

  2. Hey, Colleen! Thanks for stopping by.

Colleen did tell me she's not a real smoke jumper. That she would never have the nerve to jump out of a plane. :)

  3. Missy, I'm in the process of reading that book right now. It's one of those that's been in my to-be-read pile for way too long. I can't wait to finish it. Ooo, I meant that in a good way.

Colleen, thanks for stopping by. We'd love to have you be a guest blogger sometime. You up for another jaunt around Dallas?

  4. Hey Mindy! Great to "see" you here. Mindy was a doll and picked up me and Diann Hunt from the airport last year and hauled us around to bookstores. She got a crash course in bookstore visits. LOL

I'd love to be a guest blogger sometime!
