My Day of Freedom . . .

. . .Came Wednesday. I didn't expect it, had little planning for it, but that was okay.

My mother in-law, Angie, called me Tuesday night and said she wanted to have Downey, my wild two year old, over to her house on Wednesday.

This is a double treat for Angie. Her other granddaughter, Savannah, lives with her along with Savannah's parents. Since Savannah is 3, she and Downey play great together. Until nap time and then it's time to separate ~ LOL!

So I take Downey to Angie's that morning and I enjoy about 3 hours of writing time! I wrote ten new pages!!!!

If you've read any of my past posts or comments on our Sunday check in, I've been in a slump for a while. My Wednesday morning of freedom enabled me to rework the chapters I didn't feel were working and has brought me to a new angle in the story that I now realize I've been trying to get to all along.

So thank you, dear mother in-law. She blessed me when she just thought she was doing herself and the kids a favor.

I just hope to reciprocate the favor some day . . .

  1. Christy,

God will provide, right? I'm so glad He provided you time. It sounds like it's just what you needed. (Of course He does know all, doesn't He?)
I hope you continue to rock on with lots of pages!!!!

  2. Christy, I am soooooo jealous! Even with time alone, I can't seem to get one page written let alone ten. Good for you and so long slump.

  3. Yaaayyyy, Christy!!! Way to go on the 10 pages! And on now knowing the direction you want to go.

Mindy, hang in there. It'll come.
