Happy Father's Day & Checking In

Hi all!!

Happy Father's Day out there to all you guys! May you have a great day.

I thought maybe while checking in-readers and writers-we could say just a little something about our Dad--our husband--or brother--or any guy that means a lot to us.

  1. I'll just say one word about my Dad--

He's always been there through it all. He's someone I can count on.

And writing wise----I am revising my book and right now I"m afraid it's a mess!!
That fear thing we talked about this week is kicking in.
Yikes! I better revise right through it, huh?

  2. Hi all,
I'm really excited that I actually finished outlining my book this week. Once I sat down, it didn't take as long as I'd expected.

My dad loves me. That's the coolest thing! He's tried really hard all my life to be part of it. I'm really glad he did.

  3. Happy Father's Day!

Instead of commenting here about the Dads in my life, I decided to blog about it. Check out my blog when you have a moment.

As far as the writing goes, I started chapter one this week. Wow, I hadn't realized how many long months it had been since I'd started with fresh material. I've been revising for so long! But right away, I found a glitch and that halted me for a day. I drove to the mountains yesterday to see my parents and the drive proved to be useful, creatively, once again.

  4. Checking in late, again, like usual. :)

I also blogged on my personal blog about my dad--

Now I just need to get him to figure out how to access my blog. :)

Great work for the week ladies! No fear allowed, Lindi!

I got started on the new story! I re-used the first 6 pages, then started writing new stuff. God has been waking me early each morning (just like you, Lindi!), so I'm getting in about a half hour before work or kids are up. And I find I'm much fresher than my usual late night writing.

  5. I'm posting late since I was on vacation! A small publisher contacted me about writing a short story for a contest to be printed in an anthology. So I didn't start chapter nine in my WIP as I had planned. Instead, I wrote a short story before I left for vacation.

New goals are: 1)Get back into a consistent, efficient writing schedule. Get up at 5am and write until 6am and then do my 30-minute exercise routine. Then get ready for work. 2)Start and finish chapter nine in my WIP. 3)Submit my short story.

  6. I'm glad you girls are getting on the EARLY MORNING WRITING BANDWAGON.
