Withouth a Vision. . . . .

. . . . . the people will perish.
That's from Proverbs.
Oh, how true it is. I found myself at home last Saturday with no real plan. Sure, I had plenty to do, but no particular order or deadline or anything planned out. What happened? I ended up with a big fat wasted day.
I couldn't believe it late that night.
So this Saturday I was determined to have a different result at the end of the day.
And I did. I can't say I had a plan, but I knew what I wanted to do and spent all day doing something. Not real fast paced, not anything stressful, just things like laundry, light cleaning, computer things. Things I needed to do.
I was glad at the end of the day it didn't feel wasted.
Now I know we all need days where we don't do much and just rest. I have and need those days also. But if I don't need one of those days, I don't like turning a day where I wanted to accomplish something into a day where I come away feeling lazy for no particular reason.
What about you? Do you have a vision for certain days? Things you want/need to get done?

  1. Oh yes. There are days when I'll make a list of things I need to get done. It feels so good to check each item off. But, like you, there are wasted days. I hate those. And if my brain doesn't wake up soon, today promises to be one of those days :-)

  3. I kept having so many wasted days I decided to change the way I was doing things. Like Mindy, I make a list of what I need to do that day and check them off as I go.

And my writing calendar for manuscript plans.
