ACFW Conference Bound? I Hope So!

I'm in a quandary about the 2007 American Christian Fiction Writers conference on September 20-23. I really, really want to go. Have been planning to go. But now I'm not sure I'll be able to swing it. But I'm not giving up yet. I'm praying for wisdom about making the decision.

And why do I want to go? :) Of course, one big reason for going this year is because all the F.A.I.T.H. ladies will be there!! I would love to get all of us together at one time. We've never done that in person.

But another reason is because of the fellowship, the spirit of support, the love of God that permeates everything. I can't describe how it felt when I attended my first conference a couple of years ago in Nashville. My first thought was that it was completely different from any conference I had ever attended. And I think that difference is God's presence. I was also blown away by how relaxed I felt. I didn't experience the stress level that I was accustomed to at conferences. Although I was tired by the end, I wasn't drained. I was invigorated.

If you haven't attended before, I hope you'll consider it. The early registration cutoff date is coming up on August 15, and the hotel cutoff date is August 28. So don't delay!

If you're able to go, plan to experience inspiration, renewal, and a sense that the Christian writing community is like a big, loving family. :)

  3. Dear Lord Jesus,
Our friend has a need. You are fully able to supply her needs. Would you grant that it be fulfilled? We ask this humbly because we know you are the one in control.

    Thank you,
    In Jesus Name,
    Amen
