ACFW is barely two months away. It seems like yesterday we were just there. We see friends again that we admire like recent Golden Heart winner, Carla Hughes. We also attend fabulous classes and late night chats to learn the art of our craft.

Last year was my first ACFW conference. I loved the "feel" of the conference. Knowing that all attendees have the same belief lends an exciting tone to the atmosphere. The genuine smiles and the thrill of meeting new people seem to carry on throughout the conference. I love that the conference focus is on God. God is first in everything.

There are really great workshops. This year my focus will be learning craft. You can't learn too much. And the motivational/inspirational workshops are awesome, too.

There's also a Praise Band which will lead us each day with wonderful songs to the One who we are writing for.

If you haven't been, consider my number one reason for going and see how that feels to you. I'm going because besides always wanting to learn, I love the fellowship and new friends that have the same goal in mind as I do.

To write for His glory.

  1. Gosh, it is less that 2 months away!

I can't wait! It sounds like Writer's Church to me. Looking forward to it!

  2. Great points, Lindi.

And great photo of you and Carla!
