STOP- Precious Cargo Aboard!!!

Do you ever have something that keeps popping up over and over? The same song, a saying, a concept, theme?
Well, that has been happening to me these last couple of weeks. On the radio sermons I listen to, the devotionals I read, the Bible study I'm doing, in a couple of conversations, this certain concept keeps coming to the front.
The concept of Christ in us.
Christ in us.
We've heard it alot. Read it alot. Thought about it???? Alot????
In our Bible study, The Patriarchs, written by Beth Moore she states the following. (I'm paraphrasing). She writes about how we women who've had children take such good care of our bodies while being pregnant, because we are carrying precious cargo. Then she talks about how we are carrying Jesus Christ in us.

Now, these aren't exactly her words, word for word, but you get the picture. Christ is in us all the time. Every day, every minute, every second.
For some reason, this concept has struck me hard this week. I don't think I'm a very good steward at times of carrying this precious cargo in me. It's certainly made me think a bit differently about certain things.
What about you? What do you think about the precious cargo you're carrying?

  1. Lindi,
I know I'm not a very good steward at times either. But I think He understands when we fall. And if we're really trying to be better at how we act and react to things, surely we are improving for Him.

I don't know. I pray and hope I'm on the right track. I do know I'm thankful I know Christ.

I like the way you put it -about us carrying precious cargo.

  2. Lindi,

I love this concept! Great post.
