ACFW Conference & Volunteering

You'll get to rub elbows with wonderful people like these authors at the ACFW Conference.

I'm really looking forward to the ACFW Conference this September. I've been to a few different conferences now. From the Idaho Writer's League to Romance Writer's of America and the ACFW.

All of the conferences need volunteers. I really like being a volunteer because I feel more a part of the event than an outsider. Some of the different opportunities include hostessing workshops, greeting people at the banquet doors, singing in the choir, and even reporting about the various workshops.

I volunteered this year to sing, hostess, and report from one or two sessions. I had such a great time reporting on my own from the RWA Conference this past July, that I had already planned it for the upcoming ACFW Conference. So Keep your eyes peeled for a post during that week (Sep 18-24 for me.) I'll be reporting on my usual Wednesday here at the FAITH girls blog, and then all week over at my own.

Incidentally, there are a couple of WILDLY exciting things over at my personal blog:

What are they?

Allison Bottke is giving away two DIFFERENT contest prizes. The first is her book, One Little Secret. That's fabulous. All you have to do is comment on any post with Allison's name and get chances to win. Yep, you can comment on more than one:-) But she is also doing a GRAND PRIZE. It's both of her books, A Stitch in Time and One Little Secret, personalized for one lucky winner. So comment away on any post that has to do with Allison this week. I'll draw the winners Sunday afternoon.

Then my next big news is a family affair:-D My son announced his engagement. So of course, I blogged on it:-D I'm bursting with joy to welcome my future daughter-in-law. Come see the woman I have prayed for since my son was born. She is truly the answer God has given me.

Thank you for visiting.
Angie

  1. I can't wait for ACFW! I'm literally counting the days. Of course, the countdown clock on the ACFW blog is a big help with that:-)
Congrats your son's engagement. So glad he finally pulled it off.

So good to see that picture of you all at ACFW. I'm looking forward to it.

Maybe we should get an ACFW counter!

  3. Thanks ladies on the congrats:-) I'm very excited to be adding this beautiful Christian heart to our family:-)

Christy, I have to admit this photo is from RWA. But so many of the authors were ACFW that I thought I could at least represent the ACFW in this photo:-)
