The Restitution by MaryLu Tyndall

MaryLu has written a wonderful pirate story! I'm having a lot of fun reading it. The Restitution is book 3 of the Legacy of the King's Pirates, but I had no trouble getting into the story right away even though I hadn't read 1 or 2 yet. Isabel, the heroine, trudges through the rain and mud. I felt like I was right there with her. As she runs into the night after her baby, I ran with her. This author has a knack for reaching into your emotions and creating a visual in your head as you read the story.

Remember to comment for your chance to win this great book. The details are at the end of the post along with a really great recipe!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Lady Isabel Ashton gave birth to her illegitimate son, Frederick, the product of a pirate's violent attack. Spurned by family and society, Isabel clings to the hope of marrying a nobleman and returning to her privileged social class, but then her baby is kidnapped.

Captain Kent Carlton, determined to win the heart and forgiveness of the woman whose purity he pirated, searches every port for Isabel. What he finds is Richard Sawkins, a nobleman who informs him of Frederick's existence and kidnapping and the whereabouts of Isabel.

Will Kent forsake all his treasure, power, and dreams of becoming the Admiral of the Brethren of the Coast in order to unite Isabel and his son? And will Isabel finally realize that title and wealth are meaningless when compared to riches in Christ? Can she allow her heart to love a penniless pirate?

Angie's take: MaryLu writes intelligently and with flair. I really enjoy her style. I think you will too.

MaryLu has this awesome treat to share:-D

Mix peanut butter with powdered sugar and cereal, roll into balls and then roll the balls in the coconut. Eat 1 or 2 of them to test. Place the rest in the refrigerator for 45 minutes or longer.
