What Inspires You?

Whether you're a painter, a musician, or a writer... what inspires your masterpiece?

Is it an old building in a small town?

Is it the way the light warms a loved building?
(This picture I've named "Day of Grace")

Is it being on a quiet lake, floating on the water?

  1. Or is it just quiet? This silence that envelopes the house in the middle of the night. Yep, works for me. Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) that's when my imagination seems to be most active. Go figure :-P

  2. I can agree with you too, Mindy. I usually write while it's quiet. Many of my ideas for a scene come after reviewing the previous ones. But it's the nugget of an idea to START a story that I gather from my surroundings.

  3. Sometimes I am inspired by the glory of God's creation. My husband calls it my "awe attacks." Sometimes it's the quiet. And sometimes music or someting I hear. I find it amazing that God has so many ways to inspire us.
