Winter Setting In

This is my front yard today. It's been snowing off and on for a few days now. My daughter is over in Thailand complaining of the heat. Funny thing is the grass is always greener. Or should I say the snow is whiter?

Either way, winter is setting in up here in Montana. It's very beautiful, wet, and cold this week. I'm thankful for the moisture even though I prefer warmth. Today the sun blew out of the clouds, the sky turned a brilliant blue, and the snow sparkled so brightly I had to wear sunglasses to drive.

Can you imagine the sparkling brilliance of heaven? I don't think there is even a word in our language that could describe it. I know that there would be a hole in my hopes if I did not have that to look forward to. (Referring back to Mindy's post:-) )

Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday. Remember the God who granted us all these good things. Thank Him.

PS Please visit often over at my blog because I'm going to be giving away several books over the next few weeks.

  1. Angie, I love the photo and I want that snow transplanted here in Charlotte. It was a warm 76 degrees here yesterday. I'm having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit because of the heat. Today they're calling for 77 degrees. I'm actually praying for some cooler weather over the holidays. I miss the big snows we used to have in the 70s and 80s.

  2. Ang--the photo is beautiful. Like Jenn said, yesterday and today are in the 70's for us...
Keep us posted on Montana in the winter. It's amazing how different the areas are.

  3. Snow Already? Wow! I can't imagine. Thanks for sharing - keep the Montana pictures coming!

  4. No way!! I thought you pulled out some stock photo to get us in the holiday spirit. LOL

It's beautiful!! But so strange to me with all the heat here!
