Powerful Prayer Today

Today I have a request. At 3:30 will all who read this please pray for Kristy Dykes? She is having a radiation treament for her brain tumor. Her husband Milton has dilegently kept up her blog and this journey these two and their family has been on is an incredible one. The faith this family has is so inspiring. Can you imagine feeling uplifted while reading a blog journey about a perfectly healthy woman suddenly finding out she has a brain tumor? If you haven't visited her blog you should do so. Scroll down the posts and witness a journey of faith, hope and love. Christ-like attitudes lived out in real-day time. Our time. Here and now.

Please tell everyone you know to be in prayer today at 3:30. What an awesome request God will receive as those who love Him pray for one who loves Him.

This is the verse I've set aside to pray over Kristy today:

Psalm 66:1-4
Make a joyful shout to God all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His name glorious.
Say to God,
How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of your power
your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name. NKJV

I picked this verse because I can picture people all over the world, shouting to God in joyous voices to heal Kristy--we know His works are awesome and through Him nothing is impossible.

Do you have a verse you'd like to share?

  1. I have been so inspired by Kristy as she endures this awful thing. I love reading her blog. To hear a man pour out how much he loves his wife just gives me chills. And tears. It's like a romance novel come to life. I will definitely be praying. And it's at 3:30 EST, that's 2:30 for me in the central time zone.

  2. I cannot begin to tell you how much I have been impacted by Kristy's blog. Truly, she and Milton share something God-designed and very special! I am so in awe by their joyful attitude during such a trial. What a blessing! I encourage everyone to bookmark this blog and follow their journey!

  3. (First) Cuz.........
    I just awoke from my sleep, (about 3 hours early) and wondered why I was awake so early. Then I remembered your friend. I suppose it was meant for me to be awake now and until 3:30, I can sleep later ! My best wishes to all that are involved, I pray for all of you.

  4. Amen! What a beautiful Psalm!

    Lindi, your link to Christy's blog didn't work for me. I'll check it and fix if needed.

  5. Thanks for praying ladies...
    Did you read Kristy's blog? The machine broke...can you believe it. They said it had been working all day.
    Now that's some powerful prayer.

    I fixed the link. If you haven't read about her day, click over now and catch up.
