I Love Our Love

I'll start off by saying Happy Birthday Missy! Have a great day today.

My birthday was at the beginning of the month. My husband gave me two very nice cards. One of them has these words on the front:

I Love Our Love

Don't you just love that? (Pun intended!)

How romantic are those words. Especially to a girl who just loves love. It's why I write romance novels. Romance, love, hmmmm...(that puts me in a happy place.)

And we have the greatest example of love ever. God. We can't love well unless we know we are loved well. I did a retreat last year titled Loving Well--by Beth Moore. She did a fantastic job of laying out scripture showing us how God loves us. By knowing God's love we can in return show God's love. Matthew gave us all the great commission to go and make disciples of all nations. We do that armed with God's love.

Writing is one way of showing this awesome love. What are other ways you show God's love to those around you?

  1. Good post, Lindi. Sometimes the practical applications are the hardest. To love, I think about treating others like I want to be treated--mainly with honesty, patience, kindness, kind words... now I'm thinking of the fruits of the Spirit. :) All those things.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! It's weird to have the boys gone on my birthday, but we can all celebrate when they get back tomorrow.

  3. Great post Lindi. I agree with Missy. I try to show God's love in the way I treat others, even though we may not get treated that way in return from everyone.

    Happy late birthday, Missy!
