The Launch of "Her Unlikely Family"

Almost a year ago, not long after we started blogging together on F.A.I.T.H., we learned that Missy Tippens had sold her first novel, Her Unlikely Family. Since then we've been anxiously awaiting the BIG day of it's launch onto the shelves of the bookstores. Missy, it's here!!!

I'm not as far into the book as some of my faith sisters, but what I've read is excellent! The characterization of these characters is so wonderfully charming. They really do suck a reader into the story. I can definitely see why Missy sold.

What does it feel like to have your dream come true?

Missy, we are all so happy and proud of you. Cheers off to the sale of your second book. After all, we F.A.I.T.H. sisters have lots of faith that you'll soon sell your next book. We are behind you 100%!

  1. Thanks so much, Jenn!! I really appreciate your post. This past week or so has been so exciting. Like you said, it's a dream come true. I can hardly believe it.

We went to Walmart and saw it on the shelves today!! My middle son ran ahead and was pointing at it when we caught up. I made the whole family go, plus my mom, so we could get some photos. Of course my oldest got the biggest kick out of the cover of the Blaze book right above mine!! It was a bare-chested man who looked like he'd been oiled up. My son tried to hold it up over my head as we were taking a photo of me with the kids! :)

I have my first signing tomorrow at my church. I'm hoping for a nice turnout. Several ladies in the church (1 retired pastor's wife and 3 pastor's widows, plus a few ladies from my Bible study) are throwing the party for me. They've been so sweet to do it!

Also, Lindi is going to try to be there, plus my two other critique partners. Christy, if you can make it, just holler and I'll give you directions! :)

I've had so many people from our church (and past churches) praying for me through the years and they're just as excited as I am. :)
