Just for fun Friday

Happy Friday, F.A.I.T.H.!

It's been a tough week for me and as I sit here staring at this blank computer screen(What else is new these days?) I decided I wasn't going to come up with some introspective and deeply interesting post to inspire you all for the weekend.
(Again, what else is new?)

Here's something fun to try. It's quick and easy and something I've always wondered. Do we have a birth verse? We do, according to this website.

My birthday is April 1st. Here's what mine says:

Ephesians 4:1 NIV
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

What's yours? Visit BirthVerse, then come back and share.

  1. You know what? I didn't even realize my birthverse goes along with what Missy wrote about yesterday. Interesting! Can't wait to read what your birthverse is!

  2. Ok, mine is totally lame while my kids are awesome! I'm:
    Genesis 7:16 NIV
The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

So all I have to say is, "huh?".

My kids are all in the New Testament and are very inspiring. I don't think I'd ever have mine framed. hahahaha

  3. How cool! Here's mine:

    1 Peter 2:24 NIV
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

  4. Galatians 6:9 NIV
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

And, oh, did I need to hear that today!!!

  5. Ephesians 1:4 NIV
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

    That is mine. Very cool!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  6. Did y'all catch how they chose the verse? Your month is the chapter and your day is the verse. Just don't know how they choose the book.
Okay, you probably did notice it...

  7. Mine is:

    John 10:30 NIV
I and the Father are one.”

  8. This was fun!

Mimi, I don't think yours is lame at all. Perhaps you can think of it that Noah had faith in God and he built the arc and because he trusted in the Lord, the Lord shut him in the arc and protected him from the flood. Maybe the same applies to you?

  9. Faith girls,
I can see some shared value of each one of you in your verses. Can you?

Thanks for coming back to share!

I like your new picture, Angie!

  11. Mimi, I cracked up at yours, too. :) Don't you love how Christy found the positive out of it, though?

    Here's mine:

    Philippians 1:21 NIV
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

    Then it said:
You are a child of God, His treasured possession. He created you in His own image. He chose the day for you to be born. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Cherish your birthverse.

Christy, that's cool what yours said in relation to my post! Maybe I'm totally wrong!
