June Weddings-Girls Just Want To Have Fun

June is known as wedding month. My daughter had the honor of being a maid of honor in a June wedding. The first pic is of the bride and groom. (I bet you couldn't tell, huh?) The second is a posed pic of the girls goofing around with make-up. Just a fun pose. Why? Because, girls do just want to have fun.

The wedding was great. We escaped the rain to have a beautiful outdoor wedding. I know I say we like it was my wedding. Well, I've known the bride since she was two years old, so I feel like she's my second daughter.

So, the F.A.I.T.H. girl questions I pose for the day are these.....

Are you going to any June weddings?
If so, indoor or outdoor?
Rain or shine?
Hot or hotter!?!

Or any other comment you have regarding weddings in general are appreciated.

PS--Missy is playing me today as far as responses go. I'm on vacation!!!

  1. Lindi,
the first thing I thought of when seeing the picture of the bridesmaids is my favorite "bridal" movie: Father of the Bride - Steve Martin's remake of it. In that movie, the girls wore the most beautiful pink gowns and I wanted that for my wedding, but ended up with royal blue gowns - that looked different in color of course and style. Anyway I love the pale pink color and style of this wedding.

No one I know is getting married and I don't think I've ever been to a June wedding. Which is kind of funny since its supposed to be the month to wed!

    Thanks for sharing...

  2. My 22nd anniversary is June 28!! So we had a June wedding. Luckily, it was indoors, because it stormed the night before the wedding. The power even went out at the place where we had the rehersal dinner, and they had to do a last-minute switch on the menu!

I don't have any wedding to attend this summer that I can think of. Lindi attends more weddings than anyone I know! I guess with kids at the marrying age, that happens. :) Mine are still too young.

  3. Christy, I loved that movie, too! We just watched the second one recently--where the daughter and her mom have a baby at the same time. :)

  5. Not this year. But my sister was married last year in September. We have our 15th wedding anniversary coming up on July 17th!

  6. It's definitely summer and wedding time. For the last few weeks, we've had several people at church say they're thankful for anniversaries. Just this past week were about 3 or 4!

What do you all usually do on your anniversary to celebrate? We always go out to eat at a nice restaurant.
