Merry Christmas!

Since I've scaled back this year to accomplish my goals, I have had a very simple season. Yes, I wish I'd done Christmas cards, I wish I'd had more time to shop and prepare our Christmas Tea, but what I am doing is worth the change from tradition. Next year is soon enough to go back to the long-standing traditions and most people won't even know we strayed. But in the meantime, I'm holding to the most important, spending time with family and worshiping the Lord on a day that we set aside to acknowledge his greatest gift--himself. I hope that you are also able to fit those things into the busy schedule and be at peace recognizing God.

And no, I'm not getting everything done, lol. I'm just doing the best I can with what I have available. That's all anyone can do. So slow down a minute. Turn on your tree lights and turn off all the others in the house. Make some coffee or cocoa and sit beside the tree. Let your mind wander all over the tree, the lights and the Christ child. This is my favorite part of Christmas.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

  2. Nice picture. Yep, we have to remember to do just that, Angie...slow down and look at the distractions.

Remember the reason for the season.
