Dust 'n Dog Hair

On New Year's Day, I woke up to Pow! Pow! Pa--Pa-- Pow...POW! I thought the roof had been hit by an air raid and the house was about to burn to its foundation. Then I remembered it was the first few moments of 2009 and my neighbors were shooting off fireworks behind their house to celebrate. Finally, I went back to sleep...

The next morning I woke up and attempted to make the bed. I moved the mattress around a bit and..."Eck!" I knew it had been too long since I'd dusted. There was a bunch of dust and dog hair on the bed frame. "Eck!" What had my life become? I'm a writer wannabe, gone 10 hours a day and writing -10 hours a day. That's right, I'm writing NEGATIVE ten hours a day.

But things are going to turn around.

I'm refilling my planner with updated current pages.

And I'm going to write stuff in it. I'm going to make plans and I'm going to follow through.

2009 is going to be better. In 2008 I learned to manage Hustle and Bustle. Well, this year I plan to conquer it.

Who's fighting their own battles this year?

Who's going to beat 'em?

Come on! You can do it! We'll do it together!

  1. Christy,
A girl after my own heart. I have a TON of stuff, things, visions, I want to do this year. Where to begin?
Probably with taking the tree down.
Then it will seem less like the holidays and reality will set in and I can get started on all these new things I want to do.
    Hmmm.....

  2. I imagine there's dog hair hiding in our house too. We have an indoor golden retriever. She's an 85 lb. lap dog.

  3. LOL! We have 2 dogs that stay inside whenever we're home (outside when we're gone) and two cats. So we have the hair, too! :)

You can do it, Christy! We'll be here cheering you on. Having that planner is a great way to start.
