Friends All Over

Missy here. I was watching the news yesterday morning and saw that Montana was having what looked like some major snow. And I thought, wow! This country is so amazing, so massive. I'm sitting here in 80-degree weather, sunny and summer-like (just saw the first mosquito!), and Angie is freezing, battling snow!

And then it hit me that the writing community is such a great way to meet people all over the country--and the world. Here on the F.A.I.T.H. blog, we have three from Georgia, one in Texas, one in North Carolina and one in Montana. My kids always roll their eyes when we see a news report about some town across the country, and I have to get online to check on a friend who's from there. They claim I know someone from everywhere! :)

Angie, I'm sending you a photo of my azalea bush that I took yesterday to keep you going till your snow is gone. Spring is on the way! :)

How about our readers? What's the weather like where you live?

  1. Here in NC we've been experiencing weather ranging from 87-95 degrees. I didn't realize there was snow in Montana still. The photo looks beautiful!

  2. Gorgeous flowers! I only have 3 azaleas blooming. the others died and I planted monkey grass in their place. Monkey grass will grow anywhere - I think.

Sorry you're still shoveling snow, Angie!

  3. Most of our azaleas have passed their peak. But these just bloomed. I've always loved that bush!

Man, Jenn, you've been even hotter than we have down here!

  5. Missy, what do you mean you just saw your first mosquito? We've had 'em for weeks. Down at the farm those silly Junebugs are out. The ones who obviously can't read a calendar!

  6. Does it count if the "skitoes" are big enough to carry me off?? :)

No June bugs yet. But I hear the cidadas/tree frogs chirping at night. Love that sound!!

  7. Oh the sounds at the ranch this past weekend were amazing. Bull frogs and crickets, birds and katydids. Nature's symphony.

  8. I love that flowering bush! The sun started shining this afternoon and it was like I'd been freed from behind cement walls. Even though we had a couple inches of snow, it all melted off that same day. It's so gorgeous when the sun shines.
