Book Clubs

Jenn here.

I'm in the process of looking for book clubs I can send information to for my debut novel, Highland Blessings. Book clubs are a great way to make sells and get the word out about your book. The more book clubs who choose your book, the more people will hear about it and read it. Afterall, the best marketing is still by word of mouth.

As a reader, do you belong to a book club? Have you ever? What was the experience like? I belong to the ACFW Book Club, but with my work and writing schedule I can't keep up with how fast they read. I feel like I'm always behind and finally gave up trying to keep up.

As a writer, have you worked with any book clubs? What was the experience like from a writer's perspective?

Please, do tell.

  1. I've never been a part of a book club. But I do know one book club in my area that Nora St. Laurent has and I think it's a hit. She's even got a Facebook page. I'm a member, of course, I never reply to any of her FB posts... sigh...

  2. Thanks, Christy. My hubby started doing the research to make a list and my daughter agreed to type them in for me. I'm a little overwhelmed right now with these revisions. I'm behind in my critique group, preparing to throw my sister a baby shower, and marketing my debut novel has thrown a whole new axis to my little world. Plus, the job, which seems to be trying to sneak itself into my free weekends.
