2010 Is Here--Are We Ready?

Belinda here: 2010. It's here, too. Another year.

They seem to go by pretty quickly. We talked in church today about the previous year and what had saddened us, what had made us happy. We talked about 2010 and what we were looking forward to. And what we felt like God had revealed to us regarding the coming year. We had a really good discussion. I think it's good to reflect on what has happened. What has helped shape and mold us into the people we are today.

I remember a few years ago a friend and I were talking about a certain time in our lives. I made the comment, "I'm so glad that's over. I can't believe I ever got into that situation."
She said something along the lines of those were the types of things that make us who we are. She said i wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't gone through that time.

I believe it. I believe God has things in store for us. I believe he places us in peoples lives and places people in our lives, not at random, but with a purpose. I can look back at situations and see God at work.

So this year I challenge all of us. Challenge us to look for God. Don't take any of our situations for granted or think they are a waste of time. See God in people and works that are set before us. Let's look at people and the world the way God sees it.

Already reedemed and loved.

Happy 2010
