Book Launch Party

I've finally scheduled my Book Launch Party at Joseph-Beth Booksellars at Southpark Mall in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, May 15th at 2-4 PM. I was worried that no one would show up, but God has a way of working things out. The bookstore will be having a bookfair for the Ronald McDonald House and 20% of the proceeds for that day (my book and others) will go to the Ronald McDonald House. This not only ensures I will have good foot traffic, but it is a ministry for which I strongly advocate.

If you aren't familiar with the Ronald McDonald House, these are places where parents and families of children who will be in special hospitals for long-term from out of town can stay. All that is required is a donation. When my daughter was born with her life-threatening seizure disorder, she was transferred from Greensboro to Brenners Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem. My husband had to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. We were traumatized, scared for our baby, worried, stressed, not sleeping, and we didn't have unexpected funds for a hotel room indefinitely.

The Ronald McDonald House was a true blessing. To be able to share the time of my book launch party with them, really means a lot to me. And in many ways, I feel like it is another gift from God, much like my book contract for Highland Blessings.

If you are within driving distance of Charlotte, I'd like to invite you to join us. Mark your calendar. If not, please pray that sales will go well for both the Ronald McDonald House and my book. I'll also be offering a tray of ore d'ouvres and drinks, and I'll be signing books dressed in a 16th century highland gown. Please consider coming by!

  3. Jenn, Wish we could be there, but we'll be praying for you. I'm just completing arrangements for my own launch part, coming about a month before yours. Nervous times all around.
    Blessings.
