New Experiences

Life can get quite boring and dull without new experiences and adventures. It's the same way with our characters and it's what sometimes causes the sagging middle in a long novel. While a new plot twist is the best way to lift a sagging middle, sending your character on a new adventure or having him or her try something new they've never experienced before are excellent ways to bring some fun to a story.

Perhaps your character is getting a chance to try something he/she has always wanted to do, but never had the chance. Or on the opposite end of the spectrum, perhaps your character is being forced to try something they've always been afraid of. Spice up your character's life with a few surprises.

So what is my little adventure for the day?

We are going to try a Greek restaurant! I've never been to a Greek restaurant before and I'm quite looking forward to it.

  1. Jenn,

I hope you love it. I know I love going to eat Greek. The potatoes are awesome and so are the salads.
Let us know how you liked it.

  2. Yum! Maybe you'll have to send a character to a new restaurant, too, Jenn! :)

Enjoy! I love Greek pizza. Mmmmm, with feta cheese. Oh, and baklava. (?sp)
