Somebody Hit the Pause Button

Mindy here. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how 2009 seemed to have flown by. Well, here we are, two weeks into 2010 and the frenzy continues. Makes me wish I had a giant remote control that could pause the world around me. Imagine catching up on every project, housework, and whatever else, without interruption

But alas, life just doesn't work that way. Though it often seems to get in the way. And it definitely goes on.

So since life isn't going to stop for me, I guess it's up to me to change my approach to life. To realize it's okay to ask for help, to stop procrastinating, and to simply accept that things are not necessarily going to go according to plan. My to-do list may or may not get checked off. There are have-to's and want-to's. And no matter how much I want the want-to's to be have-to's, they'll sometimes have to wait. They key is to know the difference between the wants and the haves. Right?

Do you ever feel like you're caught in the whirlwind of life? How do you handle things when craziness abounds?

Before I close today's post, I want to introduce you all to someone very special. Please join me in welcoming William Charles Smith to the world. Congratulations, Christy.

  7. Mindy, sometimes I just have to do what you said: hit the pause button. :) I have to stop, reevaluate, prioritize. And maybe go whimper in a corner for a few minutes. LOL But then I feel ready to face the world. :)

Congrats again, Christy!! We're so excited for you!! :)
