The Beauty of Spring

Mindy here. I love spring in Texas. Especially the wildflowers. These last few weeks, the bluebonnets, indian paintbrushes, and phlox have been popping up every where and are more brilliant than I've seen in years. I guess the colder, wetter-than-usual winter was exactly what these beauties needed to shine.

Sometimes God has to do the same thing for us. We feel as though we're in a season that's cold, wet. We don't like it. Sometimes we choose to shut down, cut ourselves off from The One Who knows exactly what we need. We wither. And though the spring may come, our beauty is diminished.

But if we allow our Heavenly Gardener to tend to our needs, to nurture us, when spring comes, we'll be more vibrant than ever.

Psalm 62:1 says, "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him." My prayer today is that winter or spring, your rest will be in Him.

Happy Tuesday!
