He's Still at Work

Mindy here. A couple of weeks ago I shared how God had put me in a writing time out. Lately, though, I've been dealing with a lot of frustration. I can't seem to determine if He's still got me in time out, or if He's freed me to write again, and I'm just stifled by fear.

It seems to be an ongoing dilemma, but these past couple of days God has sweetly assured me that He is still at work in my writing career, even if I'm not. They're very minute things, things that never even occurred me. Until God prompted a friend to call me. As I filled her in on what had been going on with me since we last spoke, about 4-6 weeks ago, she pointed out one thing after another, evidence of how God was working behind the scenes to fulfill the calling He gave me.

That phone call gave me hope. Emphasized that I'm not alone, and how much God cares for me. Isn't He wonderful?

Has there ever been a time when you sensed God working behind the scenes? Were you aware of it, or did God use someone else to point His handiwork out to you?

Let's share some encouragement today. What has God done for you lately?

Don't forget to check out my personal blog, Divine Imagination. This week's author interview is with best-selling author, Beth Wiseman. You could win a copy of her latest release, Plain Paradise.

Happy Tuesday :-)

  1. Mindy, I just finished the Beth Moore Esther study. Wow. All I can say is He's taught me so much! And I'm excited to see how it plays out in my life. :)

  3. Mindy,
I'm encouraged knowing no matter what the circumstance is, pure sorrow or pure joy, He is there. I've experienced the extremes last week within a 24 hour period. The sorrow of a death, the joy of good news. And He's there. Through it all.
And I think sometimes we don't see all He is doing in a particular circumstance. It's only by looking back, or like you, having a good friend talk to you, that we can see it with a different light.

Our pastor is preaching on miracles right now. It's been amazing. God still performs them. We just have to be ready to receive.
