Keep Me Accountable - Week 6

Christy here.

The End was written but doesn't look as good as I'd hoped.

I've been quite worried over the whole thing and disappointed. Yesterday was stressful. Trying to find time in a busy day to write had me all worked up and snappy with others. Finally, with the kids crashed out early and hubby letting me quietly work, I worked through to the final scene, but it didn't look like what I expected. What I thought I wanted. A huge chunk of the path to THE END was missing and it was driving me nuts because I was so tired and so stressed out I couldn't bring the scenes forth I knew needed to be there.

I finally sat in the middle of the floor last night, after the house was quiet and I was completely alone.

What do You want me to do with this story? I prayed.

Show me what's missing, Lord.

My writing challenge ended April 30th, but I've decided to give myself a personal extension.

The contest is over. I found through this writing challenge that I need the support of others and God Bless You all, you gave it it me.

I'll tally the comments and announce the winner on my blog tonight. But the truth is, you're all winners in my eyes. You helped keep me accountable during a time when it was so easy to quit.

Since I have such big chunks missing that I need to work through, I'm going to continue to post about my progress on my blog. I encourage you to check in with me to see if I ever reach my goal which is to submit this one story.

My word count is now 54,368

  3. Personally, I think you are already a success! To have challenged yourself publicly,to keep pushing and to give yourself an extension, again publicly, took a tremendous amount of courage. Congratulations!!

  5. Thanks everyone! After church, I cleaned the house, a little, yesterday... 2 things I really needed. It refreshed me and I began to work again. This is frustrating, this writing thing, but I love it!
