Little Miracles Add Up

How in the world could it happen again?

I've been asking myself that almost daily for the last few months. Small things that seemed inconsequential 2 months ago are suddenly blazing the trail in hindsight.

I bet you've had this happen too. When little things happen, it's easy to brush it off and say it was nothing, or a coincidence, or even pure luck. But God doesn't work that way. He works in the astounding.

When I look back at the last few years even, I realize how often something that went unnoticed at the time was an integral part of the future. Late at night, thinking back, yes I finally see it. I see the leading of God's hand on my life. It's so subtle that I don't feel it. But when I turn around and put it all together then I understand Romans 8:28 better. "All things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose."

I'm not perfect by any stretch or erroneous math project. What I have is a new sense of God's provision in such a way that I would not learn it any other. He knew that. He loved me into needing him so much that I could turn no where else but to God. Isn't he brilliant?

Today I am praying for my friend, Kathi, who sat many hours today waiting for word her son would survive and be okay after a crash. I'm praying for a friend who is interviewing for a dream job. I'm praying for the first part of the Life and Faith Tour because I felt so strongly that I had to be part of it and so many people will benefit from it. I'm also praying that I get enough rest so I will not get sick on this trip. I think we all have only one place left to go, to that brilliant God.

I pray that each of us find joy in the future and the ability to look back at the hard times so we can help someone else over the bridge. The joy will come as the dawning does. Then we can help them turn around and see the amazing results--in hindsight, but real results of prayer.

  2. I'm so happy that God is working things out for you, Angie. Staying in God's word is the only way to keep focused on His pathways in your life, and you're a walking testimony to that truth.

I feel so much better about this trip than the last. Do you all remember I was up all night last time? Well, even though I'm not finished packing, I have been doing something every day so it wasn't all left to the last. I'm hoping for a reasonable hour tonight and then catch an early am flight rested. My worst travel habit is not enough rest! We shall see :-)
