Remembering 9/11

Let's remember to pray for the friends and families who lost loved ones on 9/11. We haven't forgotten...

  1. I've been watching the ceremonies this morning. And crying. It's still traumatic to think back to that day. The fear. The uncertainty. The anger that someone could shake my security.

You know, every time we remember the event, I always think of people in other countries where they live in fear like that every day. Even as I pray for healing for our country, I pray for all people to know peace and security as well.

  2. It always surprises me when Americans have no idea about terrorism on a daily basis in other countries. I lived in Spain. It was common. I came back and no one here could even believe me. Some didn't want to and some were just so skeptical. It's daily around the world. We were just cushioned being so far away, until that day.

My heart hurts that it happened. My heart hurts more that sometimes it seems like we still don't understand how easily it could happen again. Even more because it seems like some people have already forgotten the loss and threat.
