Wow! A lot of beginnings today. It's the beginning of the year, the beginning of the month, and the beginning of the week. We certainly have a lot to look forward to, don't we?
The whole year is ahead of us with promises. Promises of spring, then summer, then fall. Promises of writing more, loving more, and knowing more.

God keeps his promises--always!!

He promised He would never again destroy man through flood.
He promised Abraham he would be father of many nations.
He promised the world a redeemer.

A promise He fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

As we go through 2011, let us not forget what has been done for us through the promises of God.

  1. Awesome reminders! I needed that today as I had to return to work, not because I want to be there, but because I need to be there working a job for my family. The temptation to be sad and depressed is VERY strong.

  2. Amen! Yes, God keeps His promises. We just have to learn to be patient. And to learn to realize He might not keep them the way we want. :)

  3. I'm in the middle of many promises right now and it's a good place to be.
Monday was the first day of unemployment meaning the first day of full time writing for as long as it lasts. I put it all in God's hands a long time ago and allowed Him to guide my steps.

He not only provides He provides amply!

Have a wonderful new year, ladies!
You are such inspirations to me.

  4. Debra, I'm sorry to hear about the job, but I'm glad you'll have an opportunity to write full time! I'll be praying that God's will be done.

  5. Debra I hope writing full time will work for you! I'm like Jenn, I work at the day job because I have to but would love to be writing full time.

Lindi, as I read your post, I can't help but sing the hymn that goes: "Standing on the Promises of God, my Savior! Standing! Standing! I'm standing on the promises of God!"
    (Love that tune!)
