Author Meg Moseley

We are honored to have author Meg Moseley here with us today answering a few questions.
First I have to tell you Meg an I have been friends for many years. Her Christian fiction was the first Christian fiction I ever read. The Lord put her in my life which led to me accepting Christ into my heart. Meg, along with her family, welcomed me into their home and showed me the love of Jesus by their everyday life. It is just who they are.
And Meg is also an awesome author. I've read her book and WOW! That's about all I can say. I would love to say more, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it. I want to talk about the parts that moved me, but I want others to be moved along her written journey like I was. So, when we've all read it, well, we'll have another discussion.

But I did ask Meg a few questions.

Lindi----How long have you been writing/what advice would you give while still unpublished.

I must have taken the scenic route to publication, because I started my first novel about fourteen years ago. (It was awful.) My best advice is to read, read, read—good novels, nonfiction, poetry, how-to-write books, everything—and then write, write, write. Have fun with it.

Lindi---Do you plot or not.

I try to plot. I start out with characters. I do my best to wrestle them into submission to some kind of plot, but sometimes they lead me around by the nose. I think I can recognize a good plot once I’ve stumbled upon it, but I’m not the kind of writer who can whip up a neat little chart and build a plot from it. My brain is messier than that.

Lindi----Do you have a favorite part of the story you like to write? Dialogue/characters/setting?

I think people are the heart of any story. I love to play with my characters’ names, their histories, their quirks.

Lindi----Do you feel you write better in the morning or in the evening—or it doesn't matter.

I can write any time, any place, but my brain functions best in the morning, with plenty of coffee.

Lindi----Tell us about your book launch--details please!!

When Sparrows Fall releases Tuesday, May 3 nationwide in stores and online. My local launch is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, from 2-4 p.m. at Books for Less, 2815 Buford Drive in Buford, Georgia. We’ll have some light refreshments and I’ll give away a couple of gift baskets. If anybody would like to read a sneak peek of the novel, you’ll find an excerpt on my website, www.megmoseley.com.

I know I'm going to be at her book launch. If you're close by, I'd love to see you, too!
Please feel free to ask Meg any questions. She'll be happy to answer them. Also, for anyone who comments today, your name will go into a drawing for a copy of When Sparrows Fall---a 4 1/2 star Romantic Times Top Pick novel!!
