My 6 favorite things

Christy here and I thought a fun post was in order today. Here are a few of my favorite things, in no particular order. I'd love for you to share your random, favorite things with us today!

1. Coffee with cream and sugar.... I'm a plain Jane when it comes to java. And don't sweeten the coffee too much, don't want to lose any of the caffeine strength! Give me real sugar and some Half n Half and it makes a combination I crave at 6pm at night. Matter of fact, I had a little coffee last night!

2. Shaklee Vitamins.... Shaklee has been around since the early 1900s... a company that sees the importance of health and keeping our environment safe and green. Their vitamins are power packed. I can feel my system charge and improve with just one daily dose. Beyond vitamins, Shaklee offers a wide variety of cleaning products, health supplements and beauty aids.

3.   Family time.... There's nothing better than taking a walk to the park with my daughter, playing with my son to make him giggle that sweet little toddler boy giggle and for me and my hubby to stand back and watch the kids run laughing through the house... completely ignoring our rule about no running in the house. Sometimes you gotta break a rule....

4.  Brainstorming character backstory..... I've decided I love this part of the writing process even more than writing the book itself!  I am a plotter than sometimes veers off my outline's path... I'm also a mom strapped for time. With all of that said, I can write a better story if I know where my characters have been. They become more real to me and I believe will come alive on the page.

5.  Nutella............ Can a girl live by Nutella alone?

I don't know... but some days I'd love to try. This creamy blend of hazelnuts, cocoa and sugar is almost better than coffee... but the caffeine value is not enough for me to leave coffee completely. If you haven't tried Nutella, get some as soon as possible! If you love chocolate, you will LOVE Nutella. You'll find it in your grocery stores on the peanut butter isle. Yum!

6.  Christian Music..... I listen to 104.7 the Fish Atlanta radio station about 99% of the time I'm in the car. I love the direction Christian Music is going in and wish more artists had been around when I was growing up. This generation of teens are so blessed to be raised during a time when Christian Music is played on fun stations, with DJs that are out and about in the community and are having a good time doing it.
I love church music - hymns and praise songs, but sometimes you want to hear music that reflects a more Pop or Rock attitude. This is much of what you'll find on Christian Radio. The love songs are singing to God. So when you sing, you are singing your praises to our Father, Creator.
Last month, several Christian artists played at Six Flags over Georgia. I would have loved to have been there but couldn't make it happen.  The Dove awards were even in Atlanta this year.
I am so grateful to my God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God knew you and I before we were born. He has a plan for us. He sent His Son to die for us, the ultimate show of grace that surpasses all other. I'm thankful for the Spirit that lives in me and keeps me in check during the good times and the tough times.
Now, let me share a video of one of my favorite Christian artists. Enjoy! And don't forget to share with me your favorite things.....
Now, enjoy Newsboys, "Born Again"
