A-Z WC-Snips, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails-H

Lindi here.

Today is hero day and we're talking about Heathcliff! Wuthering Heights, written by Emily Bronte is considered a classic.

Dark and brooding Heathcliff is not your typical hero.

Do you like dark, brooking hero-types? Or are you more of a beta, guy-next-door type of hero girl?

  1. I enjoy a good brooding hero - as long as he's not too woe is me. That is offputting. :D

  2. I like brooding heros, as long as they aren't all like 'Wah, my life is so tough. Wah, I wish I were dead' or drowning in angst. Meh. Meh I say! LOL

I've never actually read Wuthering Heights though, so I can't comment on Heathcliff. I really ought to add that to my TBR list.

  6. Jaycee---how true!! I'm with you. No woe is me type.

Rhonda--I read it so long ago, but I do remember Heathcliff. There's all kinds of interesting takes on him now. Some not very favorable.

Wanda--I think the guys I write about are more guys next door types.

  8. We girls typically go for the brooding hero. Is it because we know that only WE have the power to change them? LOL We are such girls!
