Olympic Exhaustion

Missy, here. Tonight I told my son I have Olympic exhaustion. I admit, he looked at me doubtfully as he snorted out a laugh, making fun of his couch potato mother. :) So I had to explain...

You see, I've been watching the games each night until they stop broadcasting (and beyond if they're still showing highlights or features). I'm totally hooked on the excitement. But I'm making it to bed about 2 a.m. and am barely getting enough sleep!

What have been your favorite events? As usual, I love gymnastics. But this year I've also watched a lot of beach volleyball and swimming. Track and field is always exciting, too.

My favorite part? When we see good sportsmanship, see athletes from different countries becoming friends, supporting and congratulating each other.

I've also loved seeing beautiful shots of London. I really want to go back!

So what about you? Have you been watching the 2012 London games?

  1. As much as I can, I watch. I love synchronized swimming, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and have fun with the other sports. I watched a fun report of the family house put on by an American company. How fantastic it was! Made me want to go just to visit that event house. But I'd love to watch the synch swim events in person from start to finish. Can you tell I was a synch swimmer???

  2. I got to see a little of that, Angie. It's truly amazing what they can do.
