Almost December!

Lindi here.

Since I skipped my Monday post, I thought I'd do Friday post. You know, mix things up a little.

Thanksgiving is over. In thirty days from now Christmas will be over. Hmmm...

I haven't started my shopping or decorating. But I will. Soon.

My husband and I take the first or second Saturday to go to Blue Ridge, Georgia. It's about a 45 minute drive from our house. They have a really nice downtown area where we shop. We go with no expectations. If we find something that we think someone will like we buy it. We always say if we don't find anything, that's okay, too. But we always seem to find something.

Oh, and there's a great cafe that has the best Portabella mushroom soup--EVER!  It's so creamy and amazing. That's one of our first stops.

I love that we do this together. We really look forward to it.

What traditions do you look forward to during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday time?
Here we are last year in front of one of the shops. It must have been warm, because I see I'm wearing sandals.

Here's some of the family last year.

Here we are caroling!  It was such fun. Hope to do that again this year.

  1. What fun traditions and photos!

Looking at the photo of your family, I realized last year at this time, your girl child hadn't yet met the man who is now her husband!! Wow. What a change a year makes. :)
