Making a splash at F.A.I.T.H Girls

Diana here:  My first post for F.A.I.T.H Girls! Sounds like a good reason to go out for dinner to me.  It’s also my wedding anniversary so dinner out—you bet!

Since it is the first post it and you’re taking the time to read it I’ll tell you a little bit about me.
It’s a bit unexciting so if you want to skip to the comments and tell me about YOU that would be fun.
I’m a mom of 3 boys—alright I can hear them now yelling—they are men now, two of them are married but in my mind they are all 8, 8 and 4! I don’t have twins but that isn’t a typo.  My two oldest boys were born 21 days apart.
 Moe, Larry and Curly

See the sad story is I was widowed and had 2 sons, then married a widower that had a son.  Sounds like a premise for a movie…or a nightmare. I wrote a book exposing all the bad and good before the boy/men figured out how to get in touch with Dr. Phil. Not to worry it’s all wonderful now. I love the family God gave me and feel blessed that He gave me another chance to be a wife.

Fun Facts—like that? Sounds better than—A list of things You probably don’t need to know!
I adore words. Stringing letters into words that turn into books is a wonderful way to spend the day.
Quilting, sewing and bike riding are some of my favorite things to do.
I belong to two cats, Wendell and Oliver.

So now, your turn! Tell me some Fun Facts about YOU!

  2. I'm married 26 years and have three awesome young adult children. Met my husband in the most unromantic way possible. He lived on a boat in NYC and I was babysitting for a family who lived across the dock from him. I was staying on their boat while they were away on vacation (my apartment furnace was broken during the dead of winter and they offered). Their toilet got clogged in the most smelly way. My future husband to be came over and unclogged the toilet. We shared pizza, dated many years and the rest was history.

  3. I think a man coming to your rescue is very romantic, on a boat! Stuff of romantic comedy, Heather!

I have a combined family of 6 grown kids (2 his, 4 mine), 4 grand kids, and for pets I have 2 mini horses and Muse - my kitty. Met my hubby selling insurance 17 yrs ago and we had our first date at the end of May!

  5. Heather! You might not think romantic but that story shouts "that man is a keeper! Grab him up!" So glad you did.
