A Writer's Office

Diana here:

Mindy has been quite busy as you know from her last post Crazy Little Thing Called Life
so I'm giving her another week to take photos of her office.

Today will take a peak at mine. It feels odd to spy on myself but it's only fair to the other to expose my secrets messy space.

I was blessed to be able to remodel the office I share with my husband a few years ago.
Before:

I loved the yellow but the mix match of desks, white cabinets and old carpet seemed at war all the time.

Yes, that is a pinkish chair, and cat food dishes next to the printer.

When we were done it looked like this:
ikea cabinets in an office wood floor
I know right? I love it. The cabinet under the printer pulls out so I have another workspace. Sadly the room looks more like this now:

workout ball as office chair
Notice the editor in the chair? His name is Wendell.
The other F.A.I.T.H. Girls asked me to say something about how I file....look at my desk Angie. It's all on there or the computer.

I am attempting a new way of getting my to do list done which would work for anyone. So I'm braving it out and posting a video of me attempting to explain it.

Thanks so much for stopping by, if you're still curious visit www.dianabrandmeyer.com where I have my blog and a real about page.

Or leave me a question in the comments and I'll answer!

Blessings,
Diana Lesire Brandmeyer

  1. Very cool, Diana! I really like your sticky note board! I'll have to try something like that. Don't know what surface I'll use. Will be thinking. Hey! Maybe the bathroom mirror! :)

    1. Angie, I do love my office but will admit it scares me. I think I must do things perfectly in here. I have to put on head phones and blinders to write. :)

    1. Elaine, thank you it is nice. I'm blessed with so much space since the kids left home. Had to fill the room somehow right?

p.s. you know if you have a story to write it doesn't matter how grand the office is right? :)

  4. Yes, I love your office, Diana! Love the calming blue on the walls and the white cabinets and bookshelves. Thanks for the organizing tips as well. I'm thinking this process could be used for posting Kid's Chores.

    1. Christy,
kid's chores would be great with this system. It doesn't work for hubands though--just thought I'd warn you away from that method.

  5. Look at all that space. And so clean. You put me to shame, Diana.

    1. It's not clean! I didn't do a close up or you'd see glass rings and crumbs! And all the space is only half mine. The other half of the room is my husband's office space. Sometimes he makes it hard to work. He's a fun distraction.
      Blessings,
      Diana
