Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter... Oh My!

Mindy here and I am so very un-savvy when it comes to social media and marketing. Just a show of hands, does anyone else wish Facebook would stop changing things? I mean, really, just about the time I get it figured out.... Drives me crazy. And now I need to set up an author page.

I've always been technologically challenged. I am totally convinced that I'm going to hit something in error on my computer and wipe out the whole thing. Besides that, I always seem to do things the hard/long way. People say, "Oh, just Google it. You'll have your answer in two seconds."

No...no.... For me, it usually ends up taking much longer and in the end I may or may not have gotten the answer I needed. So frustrating. You know, there's a reason I keep my desk close to the wall. So I don't have to go far to bang my head.

But now that I have a book coming out, I'm having to venture into uncharted waters. Well, uncharted for me. I've had a Twitter account, no I'm actually trying to remember to tweet. And I finally buckled to Pinterest. Haven't set up any boards yet, but soon.

So for those of you who are way savvier than I ever dream of being, what advice do you have for someone like me? Where should my focus be? And what about Hootsuite to tie everything together? Do I dare venture there?

I think I just sprained my brain. Though I can't wait to hear what y'all have to say.

  1. Hootsuite for sure. It's much easier to keep track and respond to tweets.
