Festival of the Book Missoula

Angie here: Our Montana authors and authors that write books about Montana and the West are coming together for a huge, huge event. I've had the honor and pleasure of being the coordinator for the Christian authors and groups.

This week is a huge festival week in Missoula (my home town) called Festival of the Book Missoula. I have authors in for a retreat on the day before the festival starts. 20 of us are getting together for an all day event. Then 8 of us speak, read, and sign for a 7K person event with 10 different venues, one of which is the Garden of Read'n–our local Christian bookstore.

We'll be running from the Holiday Inn Parkside where our Christian Authors booth is located at festival central, and our Heart and Soul of Inspirational Fiction panel will be held; to the Garden of Read'n for chats, readings, and signings; to the Missoula Art Museum for a personality party with all the 80 (yes, I said 80) authors present for the Festival of the Book Missoula. Then there's a big gala reading at the Wilma Theater. I will have all these authors hop, hop, hopping as the Christian author coordinator for the Humanities Montana. :)

As professional authors and speakers, we represent several different writing organizations, genres, and even fiction and non-fiction:

Some of our Montana authors not presenting are also helping us out with the booth and coming to the retreat and events. We have a special shout out thank you to: Diann Amble and Joy Doering for being our steady booth coordinators!

The organizations being represented by the authors include: Christian Authors Network, American Christian Fiction Writers, Romance Writers of America (Faith, Hope, and Love chapter), (who is also donating a massive $300 Samsung Tablet grand prize for our booth), Inland NW Christian Writers Conference, and the Advanced Speakers and Writers Association.
